SESSIONS.... THURSDAY....
This is the BIG day... the true beginning of all the fun and excitement! Here's what I will have on tap for Thursday:
9:00-10:00 a.m.
Kick-Off session - OMG we cannot miss this. All the attendees are there, the music is rocking, and the excitement builds for the beginning of a great convention. Speeches, news, performances by instructors and musical guests.... goosebumps and tears all within an hour.
12:00-1:30 p.m.
Master Class - As Beto himself describes it, a Zumba Master Class is much more than the usual Zumba class. These classes are led by a special guest instructor or group of instructors. It's a session not to be missed. This session I'm attending will be led by ZES Nick Logrea, which I have not had the opportunity to see before, but I've heard amazing things!
2:30-5:30 p.m.
Personalized Feedback - This is a small, intimate session that gives instructors the opportunity to teach a song and be provided with tips and support in the areas an instructor might need it most. I will receive personalized and constructive feedback that hopefully will boost my confidence! I will get further education to help me focus on teaching, dancing, coaching and connecting with my great students. While this sounds fun.... for me it's very nerve-racking! Before we leave for convention they will contact the instructors who will be attending. They will provide us two songs. We are to come up with choreography to one of them, and then teach it front of the other instructors and the panel of experts who will provide the feedback. I first attended this session "fresh off the boat" and was very nervous. Hoping to see if I have improved since then!
7:00-9:00 p.m.
Confidence with Class - While I was originally not scheduled to take this session, Anna was chosen to be a guest presenter and so I of course cannot miss the the chance to share her excitement! This session will teach instructors how to embrace our confidence while we are teaching our classes.
Quite a long day, no? And it's just the beginning! Stay tuned for Friday's sessions!
